well, i've had my cycling computer on for 1 year and 2 months (426 days). My odometer is at 3800 miles right now. Doing the math, my bike has gone an average speed of 0.372 MPH over the past 426 days. i could've sworn i was going faster...

When I'm stopped at a traffic light my car gets 0 mpg - exactly the same as a gas hog Hummer. Doesn't seem fair does it?

You all have way too much time on your hands.... and so do I, seeing as I'm actually reading these posts.

Were you going for solitaire and hit the calculator instead?

Just checked it out on a calorie calculator! Be careful! You are burning calories at an astounding rate. You may lose a half-pound over the course of a decade! Be careful cornering also. I don't want to see you get hurt.

According to the gear calculator, that works out to spinning a 22 X 425 gear at 80 RPM. (1.4 gear inches) You may take a while, but if you can get traction, you could pedal up the side of the Sears Tower.
