How are Lynskey GR250 2017 bikes different from 2018?
What do I give up if I find a good deal on last year's model? Same question with Litespeed T5G.

The R250 was changed to the R260 for 2018. My R250 order was changed to an R260 while waiting, and the R260 arrives on Tuesday (was supposed to arrive today god dammit, but bad weather delayed it).
The primary reason I upgraded my order was that the R250 is advertised as supporting 28C tires, and uses a fork that will fit 28C tires. The R260's chainstays were widened so that they now advertise it as supporting 32C tires. They also ship the R260 using the Lynskey gravel fork, which supports up to 45C tires.
Aside from the tire width upgrade, in their marketing they claim that Di2 integration with the frame is improved for 2018. I couldn't tell you what the differences are, but that's what they claim.
I don't know what other changes were made. The support for wider tires was the clincher for me. I've got some 32mm Compass tires I'll be trying out on the R260, and although it's possible they might have fit in the rear of the R250, they probably would not have fit in the front due to the fork.
