Thinking of snagging one of these (on sale for $300) but not sure if this brand is any good/recommended? I'm a bike courier and will be putting 5-10 miles on it daily, would this bike get the job done? Is it a good deal for $300?

Breezer’s are smartly designed bikes; riders’ bikes. Joe Breeze is an American cycling legend, an icon, and still involved with and doing designing for his namesake brand. So, yeah, it’ll get the job done.

Thanks for the info, i've read some great things.
This would be my first bike purchase that wasn't a mountain bike. That being said, I'm a little confused about the sizing. The sizes available are 15, 17, 19 & 21.
I'm used to just purchasing 26/27 inch mountain bikes and in this case, I'm not exactly sure which sizing chart to use given the nature of the bike. It's listed as a flat bar road bike, but isn't it technically a hybrid?

Which sizing chart would I use? Hybrid or road?

I'm 5'6".

There’s a lot to unpack there, not the least of which is conflating wheel size with frame size. Probably the best, simplest advice I can give is to say for you to look at stand-over height on the Breezer’s geometry chart, and make sure your inseam can stand over the top tube between the saddle and bars. Probably the 15 is your size, both for standover and for maximizing the bike's suitability for messenger duty, where I imagine having a more agile bike (as afforded by a smaller, more compact frame) is nice.

I doubt he designed that bike. The frame looks exactly like this Nishiki.

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

That was my first impression but that's a department store bike component set.

Yeah, I doubt he did either, and didn’t say he did. I was speaking directly to the OP’s question about the brand, and in the same way Specialized’s rep is not made on their Tourney-equipped Sirrus Alloy— which costs $130 more than this bike— neither is Breezer’s rep based on their low-line offering.

Oh, and I should add that while the frame designs seems to be virtually the same, they can be, and are (as the headtubes and forks reveal), different. Who knows what’s under the paint, but like the head tube, it probably doesn’t really matter in this case.

It’s also a bike store component set. Nonetheless, Shimano make good kit, and I don’t doubt that it will get a 5 -10mi a day working bike job done.

My feeling is that since the OP, pretty clearly, is new to bikes, that this is a fine get in point, and from learning things like plastic pedals suck, cheap running gear is hard to upgrade, and steel fixing bolts rust, they’ll be in a much better position to know what they want (and what has value; how do you go from a $300 spend to $3k?) next time around. The first “real” bike is never the last.

AKA Hybrid, already a section chats about all the brands wanting a slice of that market segment.

rebadging happens and to no surprise, you get a low price component set on a low price bike , OP going to messenger on it,

Bike theft is a common issue , then, so Adequate is a reasonable assessment , fit for purpose..

once you own it change stuff..
