Zwift first time help
I have looked through the support hub on Zwift and I either don't understand or can't find the answer. I have a Kickr Snap and I have a PC with a bluetooth dongle. I don't have a smart phone or tablet. The Snap uses bluetooth, so I thought I could just connect straight from the trainer to the PC, is that not the case?

No. For a PC, you really need an Ant+ dongle. You will be riding in seconds after you buy one. It is BS it does not come with one.
|
Well crap, that is one of the biggest reasons I went with the Kickr Snap is for the more reliable bluetooth, sigh.
|
You can get a cable that extends the dongle from the computer down to the Snap.

Hmm I've not had problems with ANT+ being reliable. Quite the opposite for me. Bluetooth has caused me some issues. The ANT dongle is cheap and works with multiple devices. Just wondering, does your PC have bluetooth? If so make certain that it's turned on and discoverable. Zwift should show if it sees your trainers' Bluetooth.

There is an easy way around Windows and Bluetooth - run the Zwift mobile link on your phone and pair your trainer with your phone and not your PC. Easy to do - look here.

Don't even need a dongle on the PC, it communicates over the Wifi network on my ethernet wired desktop. |
