Who wants a McBike?

McDonald's Corp. will begin selling skateboards and bikes bearing the fast-food company's brand in a new effort to get kids to burn off burgers and fries with exercise.

"Would you like fries with that?"
How easy is it to fit through the drive-thru window?
And the biggest question of all: Does it come with a carbon fiber bottle cage big enough to fit the supersized extra value 85 fl. oz. Coke?

Next it will be the tabacco companies selling bikes with their brand to help overcome the harmful effects of smoking. Then the major car companies will equip every new car with a bike to use when you end up stuck in a traffic jam on the freeway.
McDonalds just needs to quit selling crappy food!

Lets see, double 1/4 pounder w/Cheese, Supersize Frys, Shake = appx 1800 calories, via McDonalds Nutrition Info.
Cycling 15-16 mph burns appx 700 calories per hour
So that should fuel me for about 2 1/2 hours of riding. Of course, if I ate all of that and then went riding, I doubt that I'd hold it long enought to derive much nutritional value from it. <grin>

McD's going to start selling small, medium, large, and camelback beverage sizes? And are they going to bring back the styrofoam burger containers and market them as helmets?

I'm sure that the quality of these McBikes will be McCrappy. Will probably be sold at Wally World along with the rest of the McCrappy bikes.

On the surface, that seems almost logical - but anytime I succomb to McDonalds, I become completely depleted of energy and feel like I need a nap. Then I get hungry again within a couple hours and have to find something REAL to eat.
