We get that all the time at the university. Kids will come in and want to report their bike stolen, and it turns out they just forgot where they parked it. One turned up three weeks later.
Course, they do it with cars too. I saw a co-ed walking up the stairs at one of our multi-level garages, pushing the button on her remote at each level to try to find her car....
