Help....

Today my dream come true. I was planning to buy a couple of carbon wheel since 2007.
I think i committed an error.

the new pair of wheel got an shimano/sram compatible freewheel , but my current groupset is campagnolo.
Is possible to swap the freewheel? and instead the shimano to use the campagnolo (or something compatible)?

My new wheelset are the Prime RR50 Tubolar and my old are the Campy Khamsin G3.

I hope to see good news...

Are you using 10s or 11s?

Many people have been happy using 11s Shimano cassettes with 11s Campagnolo shifters. It is worth trying, and may save you some money on future cassettes.

Can you tell what your hub is?

My guess is this is your freehub body:
Prime R010 - R020 Freehub Body - Campagnolo | Chain Reaction Cycles

They usually are easy to replace, just remove the outer locknut, and it all falls apart.

RR-50 Carbon Tubular Road Wheelset | Prime Components

  • Freehub Body: Light weight alloy with ABG (Anti Bite Guard), Shimano/SRAM 9/10/11 speed
  • Freehub Body Option: Campagnolo freehub body available for purchase separately
You can buy a Campy freewheel.

If your hub is the R10/R20 compatible hub, then yes. That would be the piece, and it should be fine for 9/10/11s Campy.

Shimano 10s cassette spacing is apparently less forgiving to Campagnolo than 11s.

ChainReaction seems to indicate that they sell a freehub for your wheels, so my guess is that is the one. If you don't see a model note on your hubs, you can ask them.

For that type of freehub, there is a fair amount of inter-compatibility in styles, as long as the axle size is right, although perhaps some minor differences in the pawls and ratchets.

Ahhh...
The page that oldnslow2 found lists the R20, so you're good to go :thumb:
