Tire suggestions for my Trek Crossrip
I am looking to get bigger tires for my 2017 Crossrip 2 (currently 32c) Was thinking about schwalbe g ones in either 35 or 38c, there is also a g one speed. The majority of my riding is done on pavement (which in wisconsin is a bumpy ride, and weekend rail to trail rides. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Paved rail-to-trail, or dirt/gravel?
What is most important to you? Speed, comfort, puncture resistance, price, weight, tread pattern?

My favorite tires are Challenge Gravel Grinder Pro's in 700x36, nice and supple smooth ride on just about anything. However if you are looking for a little easier mounting and less suppleness and maybe are using the bike more for commuting and touring, the regular vulcanized Gravel Grinders are still great (I use them on my touring bike).

How about Continental Conti Top Contact II. A little bit of everything you want in the 37 size. https://www.continental-tires.com/bi...s/top-contact2
I don't think you will find much difference from the 32s you are riding, unless you can go to at least 37s.

Speed and puncture resistance generally work against each other. So if fixing a flat really bums you out, then you may have to sacrifice the speedier tires. And though I hate to bring it up..... tubeless? That might help you get a speedier tire depending on why you flat so often. But if you are not tubeless ready, then it'd be costly.

I had Continental travel contact tires on my bike , when I bought it, they make a 700c/622-37.. gatorskin beefed up caseing
a slick tire , for the road, with an edge row of knobbs for when the pavement ends...

Thx to everyone for the suggestions. Still not sure what to get or what I need to get. New to cycling and the only tires I know were 32 hybrid tires on my previous 2 bikes. Will look into the suggestions give so far.

I generally like Bontrager tires but the stiff heavy tread hybrid garbage on the Crossrip kill the ride. Dumb decision by Trek IMO. I use the Specialized Roubaix Pro in size 32 for street.

I guess "wider tires" is relative. You're moving from 32s; I'm picking up some 32mms today (Clement LGG Strada). I was previously riding 28s after years of 23 then 25. Looking forward to trying them.

Metieval inspired me. I just ordered a set of Gravel King 700x38 for my Crossrip. Can't wait to try them out. Doing a gravel ride tomorrow on the 32s. Will repeat it when the 38s go on.
I too came from 700x20. Have done the whole range...23...25...28...32... Now 38. Thankfully my waist size is NOT keeping up with my tire size.
I keep thinking what fun it would have been to do a criterium on a modern Graphene 700x28 back then. Unstoppable.
