There is a Forum member who hand makes hoods from leather, perhaps they can do that for you?

Just went through something similar for an old bike, I did find some low costs ones on Ebay but almost the same price to just buy levers with them as well.

Would these work? Also, what does "non-aero" mean?

Non aero means they have a hole in the top for the cable to run through.

Non aero brake levers look like the photo below, with the cables coming out of the top. You have the later generation aero Superbe's. Good luck finding hoods to fit those, nobody make any for that specific model. Do a thread search in the vintage section and you might find something that fits decent.

Superbe Pro aero brake levers?

You're basically screwed.

They still make hoods for quite a lot of common old levers, like the old Dia-Compe non-aero ones that used to come on every Japanese bike ever. But SunTour's aero levers never had loads of market share, they were a unique profile from a company in demise.

You could look for SunTour aero brake hoods on ebay, try out similar-looking modern hoods trying to find something that fits, wrap your lever in cloth bar tape or leave it bare metal like they used to do in the paleolithic...
There's an old legend that says that Dia-Compe Blaze hoods can make an okay fit on SunTour aero hoods, if you use lots of force and Windex to squeeze them on.

You could ask in the C&V forum. There's a possibility that someone has an idea.

Try Bike Recyclery.
If not listed then give them a call. In general they are very knowledgeable about alternatives which might work.

Incorrect. It's John Travolta as Tony Manero in "Saturday Night Fever." Following the success of the film, Paramount Pictures teamed up with Schwinn to produce a limited edition SNF Bike. It wasn't successful. The venture was terminated after only one year.
