Help Dzero Meter and Garmin 1030

Well, don't know if I'm doing anything wrong but I just picked up a Garmin 1030. Only been able to play with it on the trainer due to weather. It finds the Sram Dzero power meter fine and displays power but does not display left, right data (the power meter is dual) and also will not pair for cadence which is built into the meter.
Strange thing is the 1030 seems to be calculating cadence as the virtual speed goes up with faster cadence even though the power remains constant (wahoo kicker in training mode). Any suggestion greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
