Galaxy II Impossible Dust Caps

Hi, I am new to this forum but I've looked through some other threads and it really seems like a great place. I am currently painting a bike and I am trying to take the whole bottom bracket and crank set out. I apologize if I'm not using the best terminology but I've always just tinkered with bikes myself never using the perfect words. Anyways, my problem with getting the bottom bracket and crank set out is the dust cap has been giving me severe problems. I have tried tons of different methods but I have not been able to get it out. I'm sure I'm missing something so any help would be appreciated. The bike is a Galaxy II 10 speed that I'm using for a double tall bike experiment (It is a very low end bike). I'll put the pictures in the next post.

I seem to be unable to post pictures, it just says file upload failed every time. Any help on that too would be appreciated. Like I said, I'm new to the forum.

Bike companies Buy components like pedals, they don't make them , just buy new pedals.

Its not the pedals that need replacing. The whole drivetrain I need to take off the bike. Sorry, I wish I could be clearer with the pictures but it still won't let me post them.

The dust caps, do they have an allen-key hole, or an elongated slot? Aside from this, once you remove the caps, you'll need a crank removal tool to take off the cranks. Maybe you could just take it to a local bike shop and let them remove it for you. My LBS usually only charges me $5 to pop one off.

As a newbie, you have 5 posts a day... use them wisely. You should be able to re-edit previous posts.

Go to the Advanced editor, and click on the "attachments" paper clip icon?

JPG images stored on your local computer work best. I don't know what other restrictions. Size restrictions were recently relaxed, but don't make them too huge. 100kb to 200kb? Avoid symbols in the file names.
