paint
I took a narsty spill on my MTB yesterday and i scratched up the left seatstay pretty well. Most of the pain is intact but there is this long white line that goes down it now. Its an aluminum frame so I'm going to assume the white is the primer. Is it possible for me to just purchase a can of spray paint and quickly go up and down the line to fill it in. Will that give me the same finish as the cheap powder paint they use on the frame. Since I dont want to repaint the whole frame what would you use to to repaint a long line like this. I dont know if touchup paint will do it right as its not just a little nick.

Use something clear to seal it. I think putting spray paint on it would definitely show up more than the scratch does now.Clear nail polish or something else to seal the area would be what I would reccomend. Plus, its a mountain bike. Scratches give it character.

You could try coloured car polish which is supposed to hide small scratches

I don't know how close it would match, but if you look in the model section at any X-Mart, Testors has pens with felt tips with enamel paint in them. You could make a fairly fine line with that for touch-ups. I know they have them in yellow because I have one. Just an idea.
