Trek 720 Multitrack seat post

I have a Trek 720 Multi-track from about 1995. Its original seatpost had a spring in it which made it so comfy going over rough terrain. Someone stole it a couple years ago. I replaced it, but that one fell apart within a few months. Anyone know where I might be able to find one that costs less than the bike itself did originally?

If you Google suspension seatpost, you'll find lots of options at various price points. The Thudbuster is well-known, but not cheap. The SunTour SP12-NCX uses a similar parallelogram design, is also well-reviewed, and costs about half as much. Below that, there are a bunch of them from brands like Kalloy, Origin8, XLC, etc.

You mean bike cost of it at SRP in 1995?

big gulf between a $25 easy to find one, and the better quality..See if you can find a USE, [UK made]

made in 25.0 and 27.2, with machined shims in all other sizes.

you can get the low cost ones in1" you can find similar sleeves
