Seat bottle cage

any good single bottle cages mounts that mount to the seat under 15.00?

Doesnt need to include much else, just a way to mount and to hold a 16 to 20 oz or so bottle.

Search for "handlebar bottle holder" and look for the ones that can pivot axis or can be mounted both directions. For example, you wouldn't want the Lumintrail mount because it is fixed direction, unless you didn't mind having the bottle cage mounted horizontally. Most of them are under $15. Looks like the ZTTO model may meet your needs, comes in several colors, and only costs $11.50.

Briefly rode behind a guy last night who had a double bottle cage mount (one cage right next to the other laterally) mounted on his seat post. I have no idea what mount he was using to pull that off.

This was a big thing in the dawn of the triathlon age. Lots of underseat mounts for one or two bottles, and they usually clip to the seat rails. Anyone who repped for a parts supplier in the '80s and '90s likely has several old samples stashed in the basement or garage.

As it happened, got a new bike this morning and decided to try a different configuration with bags. Decided to replace the saddle bag (which I used for repair stuff) and the "gas can" top tube bag (which I used for keys, wallet, snacks, etc.) with one small-ish frame bag so that I would mount a second water bottle off of the seat post. Used a Topeak mount that I had previously purchased for a handlebar mount and didn't like. For this application instead it seems to work quite well, although my ride tomorrow will be the real test.

Yup, that's the ZTTO I mentioned above. Seems like a solid choice and comes in lots of colors.

$1.21+$4.00(shipping) A little bit over your budget...hopefully it doesn't empty your bank account.

Don't skimp on anything your going to put on a bike to ride miles away. Doesn't have to be the best but don't expect much out of cheap.

Hopped on an really great opportunity for some parts. Once I have it in hand, I'll be marrying it up to a bontrager sideswipe I've landed for next to nothing. If it fits to my liking, I'll be under rolling just under $5 USd. Accidently, patience is a virtue.

True words! If in doubt, don't play it out when it comes to bicycle addons.

Found these today when digging in my piles of crap. Giant-brand pieces that bolt onto the seat rails. Each alloy piece has a U slot that slips on the rail and the bolt clamps down. Cage bolts to the black piece on each.

I have a small under the seat bag that uses the rails. What I may need to try is an adjustable seat post clamp on or extendo version of the fixed kind. I really dont want to hodgepodge & tig together something. I like the look of factory parts. lol

This is what i have, but it does not do the job. It needs to be able to pivot for a slight need in angle for clearance.

I've done a couple of long rides with a full bottle in the Topeak mounted cage and it has held up quite nicely.
