Pedal replacement. Catalyst?
I'm looking to replace my stock pedals on my Sirrus. I want flat pedal. No clipless for me. Has anyone used the Pedaling Innovations Catalyst, and if so, how do you like them?

Wow those are big. I use race face chesters, about half that price.

I absolutely love mine! When i stand up on them my feet feel so well supported! They work great for me and I would have nothing else on my mountain bike.

I thought about trying the Catalyst pedals a year or so ago. Wasn't sure I'd like 'em so I got the closest I could find in size that was affordable -- Thermalite pedals by Stolen Bike company, only $10-$20 depending on model. I like 'em a lot. If you're not sure you'd like the Catalyst enough to spend that much money, try a pair of Thermalites. Good durable platform pedals at a starter price.

I never have tried them. I feel confident they would be good pedals. I was recently shopping for large platform pedals for my gravel bike and ended up with Redline Monsters. The build quality seems good to me and the size is just right. They are made in Taiwan FWIW. This is a good bike parts vendor. I have used them multiple times through the years. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Redline-Mon...kAAOSwZQRYZT1t

Canklecat, are you using the Thermalite pedals on a road bike ?
As an alternative option to clipless ? Just curious why these vs. clipless... Thanks |

Have Ergon's pedals, the large one is almost like a ping pong paddle..
grip tape instead of pins. so no shinburgers from the spikes.. |
Keeping ones shoes on the pedals, eliminates the blood letting.
