Did they really have to plaster even the derailleur with huge white logos?
|
Pretty dang cool. Bring on the innovation!

Break out that charge card.. you are lagging behind Marketing's path
they laid out for you .. to follow.. |
Just give me CVT already.

It's available, NuVinci hub.
The max power/torque rating also is an eyebrow raiser. |
I will never need this
|
The idea of a tighter ratio 1x13 does have some appeal but sadly I don't like the idea of cramming more gears into the same space. I do want a chance to play with the Rotor Uno group though just for pure fun see what the fuss was about.

Man and I just modernized the wifes touring bike to a 3x7...
|
Im on my second NX bike. I could use just a little more range. I don’t need more shifts. |
Toss a triple in the front lol
The dish offset has to be skewed a lot i bet... ...minds well slap some grill marks on it & call it a cassette kabob. |

I prefer my 2x6.5 setup.

I have yet to move beyond six cogs on my bikes.
|
I don't mind the innovation and change. I rarely use it mind you, but manufacturers need new and exciting ways to convince you that what you presently own is inadequate or antiquated. Much of it is marketing more than filling any real need. If this excites some folks then I'll consider it a good thing.
|
Something new never fails to bring men out of their caves touting clubs and animal pelts as having been sufficient to sustain life. How did you guys ever get past single speed and loin cloths?
To speak about adequacy and need is to completely miss the point. Marcus has the right spirit with the CVT comment. I'm looking forward to Di3. Anyway, gravelcyclist.com will likely review the Rotor parts soon enough. -Tim- |
