I think you should post this on the bike mechanics forum - Maybe why no one answered yet .
If it was me, I'd either just use the axle and spacers / nuts to press them in,
or just get a piece of threaded rod, and some nuts and washers - But then again, new tools are always fun .........

Ive seen a few tricks but then again i dont want destroy 80 plus dollars worth of new upgraded bearings you know?? Plus i have 4 or 5 sets of wheels that are getting worn plus 1 more set on the way , it makes sense to be able to swap out the most basic parts rather than hit the bike shop wait 3 years for them to get around to doing a 10 minute job .

Arbor press ..
a couple lengths of strong hot rolled steel channel
spanning between 2 strong verticals..
and a table beneath

a hydraulic car jack

and a few sockets that will only press on the outer races of the cartridge bearings..

and supports under the piece you are pressing the bearing into..

logical stuff.. really..

If all you want to do is to press bearings, allthread, some nuts and heavy duty washers work quite well. I have one for wheel bearings and another for BB bearings. Together, they cost around $5.00.
