New Rapha Base Layer Has Arrived

My oirignal one got attacked by moths. Supple, 100% merino wool. A real treat to wear. And I got in on sale. Like how it comes with a classy envelope containing a return shipping label should something be wrong with it or it not fit.

But now I am wondering whether, over the years, it will appreciate in value if I don't take it out of the package. Anyone ever hear of such a thing?

Im guessing this is a posting in reference to something said elsewhere in another thread and you are making fun of it. Got a link for context?

If its genuine, then my how the mighty have fallen...

I hear Rapha is the new Bitcoin.

I'm off to convert all my liquid assets into Rapha baselayers and cycling caps.

Rejected.

Huh. $63 for a 100% merino shirt isn't all that badly priced, TBH. Think my last full priced one from REI was $50-some.

Fortunately, there are some BF posts that display real wit. This isn't one of them, but they are out there.

The only issue with it is that, since it's a base layer, no one will know I am wearing Rapha unless I tell them. Assuming, of course, that I wear it.

I will probably be in NYC on 9/1. If I have time I may stop in the Rapha Clubhouse. It's only 0.2 miles from the place I want to have lunch:

Menus ? King Restaurant

I wouldn't know it was Rapha even if it were visible :thumb:

Better yet, don't buy "it" but impress like minded people anyway through social media (or verbally if you dealing with old fashioned clods) by telling them about your exquisite and elegant Ralpha underwear.

I didn't know Rapha sells underwear. Are they really that nice?

Effete cyclists may prefer the term "base layer".

I always wander about off the bike with my jersey unzipped so everyone can see I have that special base layer.

I relocate the tags and have it peek out from underneath the jersey. Just so there's no doubt it's Rapha :P

I purchased Rapha water bottles and ride with the labels proudly displayed in proper left and right orientation at all times.

You're halfway there.. make sure you concentrate on which hand you use to grasp each bottle and drink with so that labels remain uncovered.

No pics necessary for that. The mental image will do thank you. Does the hair curl over the top of your jersey when it's zipped to the top?... Just asking...

Nah, I'm not THAT awesome!

So this op/thread is some sort of attempt at hipster irony where a brand is genuinely valued, but made fun of, but actually valued?

so odd.

I like it. Looking at the package in the photo made me :)

Hope you enjoy it indyfabz.
