I use a zefal spy on my bike, I have it clamped to the head tube or top tube depending on which bag is on the bike. the view is kinda through the legs. With it mounted on the left side of the frame, I can see behind me when my knee is up and get a nice view of my thigh when my knee is down.

I have been through many mirrors and have ended up with the Mirrycle. I really liked the Zefel Cyclops, but it was not durable. I had the one shown in the video, but ir is too small for my old eyes. I had one that plugged into the bar end on a ball joint, but it would not hold adjustment after a while.
I have the Mirrycle set up similar to Phtomita above (post #18 ) but I removed the middle piece that is attached to the plug and screwed the short straight piece that the mirror attaches to into the plug. That way it does not interfere with my hand when reaching for the drops. I get the adjustment by rotating the plug in the bar, since it is not level it moves in 2 axes and then you can rotate the mirror on the post. I have had the same one for over 10 years now, and I have them on all my bikes. |
thanks for the recs. Ended up with the Mirrycle. Just installed and I think it's just what I want.
Well made, tight fit, structural beastly parts. Time will tell. |
