Love my bike, hate the seat
I have a 2017 gun metal grey Specialized Sirrus Sport, dual disc hybrid. Every part except for the valve stems are black. I've jokingly described the feel of it, its feels like I'm riding Darth Vadar. Its such a stealthy looking and feeling bike. I feel full confidence while riding and pushing it, we are of one. I've had many bikes over time. regardless of cost, this may not be what some consider "high end" but this feels/looks like my perfect bike, almost. I pulled the trigger on a bike that was several hundred under budget. I had a couple others in consideration. Its my first specialized, my second hybrid. The other was a KHS. I liked it a lot, in fact that was my third KHS. Before that I was a big fan boy of trek. the attachment I formed with the specialized in a very short time, just wasnt there with the others. I was ok about letting my trek hybrid go to seek something else. The specialized feels perfect in a word, again regardless of cost. But the seat, man it sucks. it suits the bikes aesthetics, but lacks much comfort. Its flat where your cheeks rest, and has little give. I suppose a step or two up in the looks department couldn't hurt either. But comfort is priority concern. I can only imagine how a long trip might feel back there with the stock seat. Thanks for any suggestions, and apologizes for over gloating. However we are all bike lovers, I feel I'll be understood, forgiven. Now show me your seats.

Saddles are usually the first thing to go on most any bike.
Best way to do it is just go into the LBS and try out a few different saddles. This is a common enough change that some (many?) bike stores will let you try different saddles for a couple of weeks before purchasing one.

I should of mentioned that I can and am willing to spend up to $150 CAD on a good seat. Any more than that and my fiance might hand me my own back seat.
Bike store testing, great idea. I do like to spend a little time trying to narrow things down first when I can, get some ideas in mind then set out.
A banner popped up around a week ago for an English site, advertising some of their seats. Seems it was one of their specialty items, they didn't seem to sell much else in the way of bike parts. Honestly they looked like the nicest bike seats I've ever seen. They somehow reminded me of a high end motorcycle fairing in a one piece design, (hard to picture with such a description without looking at them, I bet). They looked very minimal just with the right contours. If anyone remembers those old high end plastic BMX seats. They look dreadful to sit on but had the right contours and weren't, they were very comfortable. I could see how these modern seats mentioned could be comfortable. Nice seats but the equivalent 150 British pounds isn't an option right now.
If history hasn't been deleted I'll show you what I mean.

I don't sit on my saddle with your hips , so all I can share is an opinion,
not a guaranteed solution,
though so many posters want a simple answer...
see what your favorite bike shop can offer..
here we can pull a saddle off the display wall, you put it on a wooden chair,
and sit on it ,
hang it back up, and try another.. that's first sorting..

Wilderness Trail Bikes (WTB) saddles for me. Pure model and volt model. I always get the DNA padding.

Oh yes, here is the specific seat I was referring to earlier https://fabric.cc/technology/ check the side view a little over half way down. I just might have to stay in the dog house for a little while

Fabric is a well known saddle maker. Don't expect to get the perfect saddle on your first purchase. You can narrow it down by sit bone width and shape, but it really comes down to trial and error.

The saddle that came on my 2012 Sirrus Elite is one of the few stock saddles I've ridden that I actually LIKE. Most stock saddles I've tried have been murder.

I like the Fabric scoop shallow, and Scoop elite shallow. The bike zone is pretty good I'll see if I can try those on.

Given the budgets of anyone shopping here, the LBS stocks, so sells,
few high end saddles .
Places like Menlo Park and Palo Alto Cal, has higher incomes..

You were interested enough to spend another minute complaining, eh?
I didn't mean to come across as unappreciative in any way for helpful posts. I came down with a nasty cold, I'm just a little down atm and failed to make proper mention. Thanks for the other saddle ideas, duly noted. I will check into those too.
Brooks saddles look great slightspeed. I'm open if they make something suitable for the specialized. Been considering one for my fixie project bike, I know one would suit it as far as looks go.
Upon looking, absolutely. A light natural leather saddle with the worn look and dark pink chameleon paint is an easy winner.

$125.00 and I'll pay the shipping and even throw in a tin of Proofhide.

Here's the problem. Saddle of one manufacturer's models vary so damn much that you have to continue to try and try and try until you find one that actually fits you

I have three Brooks saddles and each one feels a little different. I like all of them but one in particular is perfect. I think the best advice is to find a shop that has a lot of test saddles and try as many as you can. I tried a few before I gave up and went with a Brooks and I've been happy ever since. I will say that I've always wanted to try the Brooks Cambium but as yet to do so, so I can't comment on that model. best of luck.
