2008 Trek Portland Hydraulic Disc Upgrade?

I have a 2008 Trek Portland. I have upgraded everything on the bike over the years. The one thing I'd love to do is convert the Avid BB7s to some Shimano Hydraulic discs. Has anyone else done this upgrade on a Trek Portland? The cable routing on that bike is not very traditional so I am trying to see if it is even possible.

Any suggestions would be great!!

What about cable hydraulics like Juin Tech X1's or TRP Hyrds?

No, but feel free to try it yourself.

Juin Tech X1's are harder to find
(Merry sales imports a rebadged version as yokozuna)
(though web search shows walmart does have them to order, online,
don't expect them in store stock)

than HyRd with more wholesalers

I put Hy Rd in place of BB7 mountain.. on my bike friday .. Avid speed dial adjustable pull levers...

front squeals when wet, at first.. may try different pads or ignore it till these wear out..

Thanks for the replies. I have not heard of those brands before. It's something to think about.
