53/39 and a 12/25 cassette would be very manly gearing in my neck of the woods with climbing. |

I had a 2005 Lemond Tourmalet with a very similar aluminum frame. The frame was a noodle and flexed if I looked at it wrong. Ended up snapping like a twig on a steep climb at the BB area. Never again would I go with a similar aluminum frame.
