Gel pads under the bar tape can be tried first , to seek relief from that.

For longer rougher rides, the movement from gel causes more hand fatigue than a flexible bar. It causes the fingers, palm to move. Long real bumpy rides it may create blisters, while thin tape, flex bar will not.
A flexible carbon bar has give, but the hand/bar relationship stays the same.

The Fizik pads stick quite solidly to the bare bar tubing , they have a release sheet covering them until applied.

My son used the Fizik for Paris Roubaix juniors (same cobbles as the pros, without the 100 miles pavement warm-up) and had blisters for days/week later.
Later went to thin tape on cobbles, flexible bar and no more issues.

Yes, that time. He was taped up with wrist braces. That may have been a factor too.

Later setup no gloves, thin tape, carbon bars - no problems.
