Hopefully there is't already a thread like this going that I've somehow missed.
I already hit the gym early today for a cardio workout, but am headed out after lunch for my real workout - a (hopefully not too) chilly fast local ride. 0-40 miles depending on logistics. It's gonna be sunny and 50 today, almost what I consider perfect riding temps.
So what's everyone else's holiday ride plans?

I took a 70 mile ride yesterday, not bad, it was in the 30s and I was bundled up pretty good.
I'm Jewish, so I'm debating with myself whether I'm going to ride to my traditional Chinese meal tomorrow.

That's a nice ride distance, I'd do similar if I had the time today. I'm thinking light traffic today too, which will be nice.

Gonna go for at least 30 miles in a bit on the mtb just doing gravel, pretty much just cadence work. Gotta burn off steam from multiple nights of family fun
Oof, 26°f out now, supposed to get around upper thirtys.

Looking to do a 50ish today. I've wrapped the main tubes in garland, and had the wife modify a Santa hat to fit my helmet.
She looks at me and says she doesn't know who I am because her husband would never dod that.

Losing my taste for watching football has opened up all kinds of riding time on Sundays!
Enjoy the ride today! My advice is no egg nog until after.
Now that I think about it, maybe we should market reduced fat egg nog as a sports drink.

For a while I had a tradition of going for Xmas and New Year's morning rides. Quiet. I'm going to try to revive that tomorrow. (It's a maybe around here as to how foggy any winter morning will be. I don't mind riding commutes in low visibility but don't like it for longer rides.)

I had intended on riding about 40 miles today when the Mrs remarked, "You're going for a bike ride on MY birthday"??!!?? "No Dear, but next Sunday is MY birthday." Three guesses as to what I'll be doing, and the first two don't count.

Did a metric century this morning with a small group. A little chilly starting out, but bright and sunny for the second half. A beautiful day for a ride

Did a shade under 24 miles this afternoon; conditions were sunny, low 30's and calm. A little chilly getting going, but once the legs warmed up I was able to stay (mostly) comfortable.

Glad to see so many made it out today. Ironically I didn't get to ride, did the gym twice but couldn't fit the ride in while it was still light because of a bunch of holiday related errands I had to run with my wife. But.. tomorrow is the day, I'll be headed out around noon. Should be sunny and high 40's. Christmas is a good day to be out riding.

just 40 miles inside. Traffic & weather is not favorable this time of year for where I like to ride.

I'm heading out for an early Xmas ride and then going to tear my BB apart (again). Love riding in the cool crisp morning when there aren't any people around. Hopefully the sea mist won't be too heavy or I'll be soaked by the time I return.
Merry Christmas everyone!

After a 1/2 day of work, then some late Christmas shopping, I got a 31 mile ride in today. Wished it could have been longer, But, darkness comes early up here in Michigan, and so did the temps drop.
Funny, because every Christmas eve, we seem to head down to our local Chinese restaurant. It has become an annual family tradition in our house too.

Thanks, today's the day. We're headed out for a Christmas hike first, then I'm gonna ride afterward. Streets are much better than yesterday when last minute shoppers were out driving in a frenzy. I usually ride 20-50 miles daily, but man the last 2 weeks I've barely ridden due to the weather or my schedule and the early darkness, I need to get back on track.

Christmas morning is even better than Sundays. I did 15 miles this am and only had 2 cars pass me. It was cold, 26F, but I've geared up this year for it. I wanted to ride yesterday, but we had a little snow on the roads(was gone today) and I'm always afraid of a covered patch of ice. Safety First!
