Woah, looks nice. How many times can you ride off a curb before you have a collection of toothpics?

You win the weirdness award ... and a triple olive branch cluster fro the mouse in the treadmill. Bravo!

So ... it is fixed gear with an electric boost? or is the mouse the "Small booster power unit"?

More pics please.

Cool, and well executed. If they can make wooden planes, you can make a wooden bicycle and have it work just fine

needs a box of rocks strapped to it.

Is it crafted out of solid hardwood?

Not hardwood, plywood.

The black bike was ridden in the 1988 Olympics.

Red looks like a harmonic damper torque limiter.

The red thing is a Flux capacitor. The mouse gets it up to 88 mph and then the flux capacitor takes over.

How’s the ride? I have wondered how plywood feels as a bike material since seeing a Sandwich bike a few years ago (Sandwichbikes).

Looks like it has some drillium going on - on the sides. Or, would that be hole-ium?

The ride is good, but it is so foreign to my other bikes, the coaster brake is so nu-natural. The long wheelbase makes it take a lot of room to turn.
I'm a roadie BTW.

The cranks are FSA Gossamer with the spider cut off, BB24 with the shaft cut and a extension added. The drive hub, the red thing is a tapered
hub belt sheave with the belt part cut off, the bumpie part of the red thing. When you tighten the red part on the hub it tightens on the shaft. It
is a real pain to take apart.

This is what it looks like before I cut the pulley sides off. I drilled a row of holes around it and knocked it off and smoothed it up. Saved some
weight.

This was about a month into the project, sides and headtube were done and this is the first time in the jig.

This was about 6 weeks ago, Last coat of varnish.

Didn't take a lot of pictures during the build, sorry.

Mines the newer compact version.

Arm to allow the wheel to move in the dripout without disconnecting it.

Interestingly different. But too much to worry about now with a bike without adding termites.

Tell me about it...

We need a thread for weird bikes, i've made a few - but i haven't made a wooden one yet! Love the idea (love the mouse!), and the possibilities are endless! Can hide electrics, could do a low-slung cruiser, tandem, all sorts.
