Would This Bother You? Misaligned Headtube Badge

I'm not sure I've seen a Bianchi badge like that.
Hard to say. If I thought it would come off cleanly, I'd probably fix it. If not, I'd leave it alone. Those missing brakes and shifter cables would be a much greater concern for me. And, once you get it all covered up, it will be mostly out of sight. Try some Handlebar bags? |
It would kind of bother me, but fixing it depends on whether or not I would think that I could cleanly remove it without destroying the badge or marring the paint. Then I don't know what I'd stick it back on with.
But... it does make your bike unique. |
I'm thinking a bit of heat and dental floss, and that badge will slide off no worries.

that would drive me crazy! If it could be fixed I would defiantly fix it. If I was unsure if it was fixable I would still try to fix it. Get it warm and see if it wont come off. I really hate that picture. I have OCD issues but man this will keep me up tonight.

If it were my bike and I could do it without screwing something up, yes. As the bike is someone else's, no.

Yes. Because every little thing bothers me.
Which is why my latest car (bought used) is filled with hail dents. So nothing bothers me about that. I would buy it as a factory second if that was identified. Otherwise, it is not OK. |
My daughter told me once the only thing I care about is my bikes, and I would care a lot about that.
I'm assuming it's stuck on like the stupid dealer tags on new cars these days, which means a heat gun should be able to loosen that up enough to remove. Good luck. |
Put on some gloves, and grab some dental floss. Saw it off the frame, then reattach it with 3M trim tape. You get one shot to put it on right, or you'll be repeating it, FYI.

If the owner is a psychiatrist then I wouldn't mention it, lest they point out the problem is yours.

That would annoy me intensely, but I'd leave it there so I wouldn't feel as bad when theft or some other misfortune befell the bike.
Come to think of it, you'd be able to identify a stolen bike by something like that. |

I would make sure that it really is a Bianchi. It could be a sloppily applied head tube badge in hopes of passing the bike off as a Bianchi.

Gotta fix it. Others have already mentioned, but more specifically, use dental TAPE and not floss. The tape is much thinner and smoother. Double sided adhesive tape will work to reattach, but it’s too thick for my taste and leaves a noticeable gap between the badge and the headtube. I prefer 3M adhesive spray because it lays super thin. Trouble is you gotta buy the whole can to use one little spritz of glue. Hit it once LIGHTLY and let it set for a minute to get tacky before applying the badge to the headtube. You get ONE TRY to get it right. Before doing anything to reattach it, check and adjust the badge - the radius of the curve is probably off from being stuck on incorrectly. - Kedosto |
I might leave it as probably one of the very few mis-badged Bianchis on the planet. You could make it right (left?) but that wold just leave you with yet another properly badged Bianchi, just like thousands of others.

If nothing else is wrong with the bike, that would me bother me enough to make it straight.

Mine is also slightly to the left, at least the badge commemorating Bianchi’s anniversary on the downtube is. It is also coming unstuck. I consider it an asset, not a flaw, which adds many thousands to the price of the bike :) |
My old Trek badge is attached with two teensy screws.
