It was told to me that it is not a bike, but some accessory.

I hope they do come up with something new, a new type of bike, maybe a new material, whatever.

Then the price of old steel bikes will drop and us steel fans will get the cast offs! Fuso, Colnago, Bianchi $100 each or 5 for $300. I'm in.

What's so special that Trek is announcing on this date. Best change in cycling in 30 years according to Trek.

Trek, Lady Penelope and Thunderbirds will sponsor Team Sky this season?

Basalt frame, made from all those Gitzo tripods nobody wanted?

Quad-action power meter that measures both pedals, handlebar/stem and saddle/seatpost to let you know how much power you're wasting bouncing in the saddle with a death grip on the bars?

e-Textile yarn skinsuits, including batwings for Froome when he sticks out his pterodactyl elbows to fly up mountains?

Trek will stop changing the spec for what size tires will fit on the Checkpoint web page?

Rims which last more than 2000 miles?

Keith Bontrager will apologize for blaming riders for poor quality products?

I can't wait to spend my income tax return on it, whatever it is.

Maybe Trek has reinvented the wheel , I mean rim ! Could be a Graphene rim , or Could be a Trek branded Graphene compound tire .
Whatever it is I'm almost positive it's Graphene based .
Actually , it's looking more and more like Trek will release a collection of Graphene based accessories and open up a whole new category of cycling ; the Graphene Grinder .
Rims , tires , helmets , shoes , lights , electronic wearables , ...

Gotta be some kind of electric bike. If there's one thing Americans want less of, it's exercise.

They're announcing that every bike will come with a year's supply of EPO.

I hate marketing hype.

They will hasten the demise of the LBS by selling mid to high end Trek bikes at REI, LL Bean, while selling lower end models at sporting good stores.

It's like the local news on television. They dedicate most of the newscast to telling you what's coming up.
