Bike Trailer plus Rack
I have a rack on the back of my GT carbon gravel bike. I use it frequently but I also want to be able to tow my daughter in a child trailer occasionally.
I have threaded rack mounts.
Has as anyone been able to periodically attach a child trailer to a bike without removing the rear rack?
Do do you think an extra long screw to go through the rack and trailer mount would do the trick?

I had a long enough seatpost on my hybrid that I slipped a piece of pvc pipe on it to hold the tag along hitch high enough to clear the rack.
A number of trailers are axle or chainstay mounted not seatpost.

Bikes: This list got too long: several ‘bents, an urban utility e-bike, and a dahon D7 that my daughter has absconded with.

I regularly pull a Burley Flatbed. While it is not a child trailer, it is still a trailer. As was mentioned above, the trailer mount is on the rear axle. With this arrangement, the rack and trailer combination has never been an issue.

Not sure what kind of trailer you're planning to use. I have an Adam's trail-a-bike for my daughter. I have no problem using it with a rear cargo rack on my bike.

Most 2-wheel trailers for smaller kids will attach to the chainstay; The better ones will attach under the rear wheel QR/axle nut.
I’m actually not sure if there’s any current models that tow from the rack or seat post.
Tag-a-Longs or ‘half-bikes’ (for bigger kids) the kind that have their own pedals and handlebars will attach the your seat post, but some of them do have the clearance to fit over a rack. Depends on the model, and what size/type of bike you’re attaching it to

Depends on your metalworking skills.. above is the way things usually do the job .
2 wheels bike trailers are typical for young child transport .
Burly when a CoOp, had a special, rear rack for bikes & tag along rear wheel bike ..combo..
their tag along could be later converted to a 2 wheel bike , Adams trail-a-bike, uses the lead bike's seatpost
long bar passing over the rear wheel..
