North Jersey lost a cycling icon

https://morristowngreen.com/2019/05/...cles-has-died/

Marty Epstein, the owner of Martyís Reliable Cycle passed away a few days ago.
I didnít know him personally but he sold me a few bikes over the years and he was a true champion of the sport. He was not a shop owner just in it for the money.
His Gran Fondo NJ is one of the best events in the country each year.
RIP Marty

My eyes are full. I, like many of my age, watch when good people go. Not just to outlast them but to honor all of us. I worked in such a shop in my high school years and fully appreciate his efforts. Good bye.

I did not know him nor have I visited his shop, but Marty was very well known among the NJ cycling community. RIP.

Bummer. I bought my first “serous” road bike from him back in 1985.

Condolences. He will be missed, for sure.
