Same here. I don't need a u-lock, just something to keep honest people honest, so I use an Ottolock. I just doubt that someone will come along with the right tool during the 15 minutes I'm away from the bike in a public location.

I'm the best bike lock in the world. I know what you're thinkin', punk, is this dog vicious or only scary looking. Well considering I am a well-trained Pit Bull, the most vicious dogviper there is, you need to ask yourself one question...do you feel lucky? Well, do ya...punk?

My other bike lock is a 4 foot long 11mm hardened chain with an equally stout lock.

Right here

That's one and I use multiple locks of differing types. Heavy for sure but the differing types requires different tools to defeat and most crack monkeys only carry around their most effective tool. Things must be hard up for the thief to try and break all those locks just to bag a bike he's hardly going to get anything for.

Pitbulls make me a bit nervous due to how powerful their jaws are, but they are gorgeous looking dogs.

Well I certainly wouldn't mess with your bike with him guarding it! Of course, you could lean it against a tree unlocked and without the dog and I wouldn't mess with it either.
