The neat thing about the Defy series of bikes is that they were ahead of the market many years ago with the lower placement of seat stays and longer chain stays. Everyone was focused on hammer time, and Giant focused on sensible frame design for this type of bike. Now, everyone is doing it. Giant has dropped the seat stays even lower than the first gen frame, and has kept the longer chain stays. Just good design.
