Wahoo Kickr - Changing Cogs?
 

Hey all,

I just purchased a Wahoo Kickr 2017 and I have what is likely a dumb question. The Kickr has a cluster on it and when I move from my road back wheel to the Kickr my shifting is all messed up. I see two solutions to this: 1) Adjust the derailleur every time I switch between them which would really suck 2) Buy exactly the same cluster as I have on my bike and hope that the alignment is spot on.

Am I missing something? How does everyone deal with this situation?

The Kicker comes with an 11 speed cassette. start with that, is your bike an 11 speed or an 8 like mine. i recently got a Kicker and also got an 8 speed cassette to put on.

Hi Scott. Both are 11 speed.

I replaced my cassette with a similar one to my bike, never got their's to work right. I also used a thin spacer on the Kickr cassette to match the position of the cassette on my bike. No more adjusting from wheel to Kickr. :thumb:

Hmmm..., I recently bought my Kicker and even though I swapped out the cassette for a compatible one with my RD it was not shifting right for the two smallest cogs. Closer inspection revealed that my derailleur hanger was bent and twisted. I replaced that only very recently (re-aligned of course) and had my first kicker ride just this morning. Shifts very smoothly and sounds great.

That's my store and I'm sticking with it.
