Kinda silly. I tried to poke fun @ 'cyclists' in a thread a while back, but it didn't go over too well.

The thing I find amusing is that the saddle on the "cyclist" bike is positioned like two feet above the top bar.

The way I understand it, a roadie is a guy (99% are guys) whos only purpose in life is to ride fast. They go to great lengths to achieve that goal. They ride some hi tech road machine using the latest gear. All other vehicles, be they bicycle or even car, are inferior to the roadie. They only tolerate the rest of us because they have to. On national rides, they frequently ride in packs and may ride past SAG stops, they're that cool. They may shave their legs, to make them ride faster AND to look sexy.
fortherecord, I ride hybrids with platform pedals.

The video in the OP is quite a bit more cutting and pretty funny. Your op in that thread was just sad.

No, I said that precisely because the series is called "Casually Explained". It was more of a comment about "casually deliberate" and "deliberately casual".

Apparently that guy still does a bit of voice work. Good for him. Before I looked him up I assumed he would've been dead from a coke overdose.

It's like a first grader at open mike night at the Chuckle Hut. The SAG stop complaint was just plain weird and completely marked this as the rantings of someone with his own issues.

Video was amusing, and accurately describes some people I know.

The video was pretty effective ribbing with some good lines, I think you'd have to be pretty humorless to take offense, The poster with the SAG line just annoyed people because his observations were either trite or just stupid. Unfunny people like to pretend it's someone else's fault no one thinks they're funny.

I loved seeing those micro machine commercials as a kid.
It's as good an advertising campaign as the often referenced iconic 'where's the beef'.
Etched in the memories of a generation, decades after it aired.

Speaking of nostalgia did you ever watch Square One TV on PBS? It was humorous sketch shows but with math. I hated (still kind of hate) math but the show was so entertaining I watched it religiously. The last few minutes of each show were a spoof of Dragnet called Mathnet. Yep, two detectives solved crimes with math. You can probably find it on Youtube.
Anyway the Micromachines guy was on one of the episodes. Pretty sure he was a villain.

Loved it! Absolutely loved it. Hilarious. This is gold, Jerry! GOLD!
As someone who isn't totally submerged in cycling culture, I thought this was pure art!
It's too bad few here have the ability to laugh at themselves once in a while.

I have to say, though, that he missed a significant "serious cyclist" sub-category--the super-duper kit group with the $10,000 bikes spending more time in the parking lot talking about golf than actually riding.

There was one of those silly video posts where two pro racer(?) guys poke fun at beer belly riders and their aero testing actually proved the beer belly was more aero! I tried to find the thread. You see... skinny in shape riders create a 'parachute' effect that isn't aero... even when down on the drops whereas the beer belly was aero in all positions. It was pretty silly and funny! So... a pregnant woman should be able to go faster, especially downhill! lol

Falling into both camps I find it funny. Love the pancake syrup in the water bottle holder!
