I just chatted with a Lowe’s online agent. He confirmed that it is a battery operated pump. I asked if he was sure because it looks like plain old bike hand pump. He got his supervision who confirmed that the description is incorrect and he has reported it. Let’s see how long it takes to fix it?

FWIW I've tried a couple portable electric car tire pumps & they're terrible...slow & they break soon.

Maybe it's e-assist, and it only pumps if you push the plunger to make the signal.
We should do much more of this. It's like the car electric mirror. No easier than a remote mirror, but we'll put a motor in anything, even a spoon to stir your coffee.
We could have power assisted house doors. You swing them and they close just the same. But now they use the signal of the swing for a motor to close them... How did we ever get by..
Inb4 e-bikes. When your manual bike can carry a week's groceries and an 8yo child on the back, up a five mile muddy hill, when you have your leg in a cast, then we can discuss motors on bicycles.

What reallllly needs to happen is an "E" kickstand. Gawd, it's so difficult to apply the effort. So bad that it essentially justifies dumping the bicycle on its side in the middle of a walkway.

Maybe the ad was supposed to read 'eclectic' and not 'electric'? Looking at it again, it doesn't look any different than the floor pump I have that's +10 years old.

It overheated and burned out before finishing fourth car tire. So, I took it back and got credit toward the next bigger size - maybe another ten dollars.
That one overheated and wore out, as well
I upgraded again. The third, that I have now, is pretty good. It does not overheat. It goes quick enough.
So, that is my suggestion: you get one, and keep receipt. When it fails, you do a return, and ask to get the next bigger one, and upgrade until you get to the size that does not burn out trying to get a set of four care tires from 25psi to 35psi.
