I just bought my bike, which was a pretty big expense but I think I want a bike computer. The Wahoo stuff is appealing. I also need some lighting.

amazon currently has the HotShot 150 on sale for 31 bucks. The 200-lumen version is $34.50. Both are excellent taillights and the company stands by its products, unlike some of the el cheapo brands.

I have shopping to do. I will not be doing it on 'black friday' for the thousands of vermin out there falling over themselves.

Tbf this is more an American thing. They've tried to import it to Britain against our will, much like Halloween and Chevrolet cars, but it hasn't really worked.

I could use some new bib shorts. There's a couple (non-cycling) wardrobe upgrades I wouldn't mind making as well, but I doubt what I want will go on sale for another month.

I really can't imagine doing all that shopping in a retail environment - good on those who enjoy that kind of thing. Coming from a family of introverts, that was really a big draw - even back in the day, we had catalogs and mail order!

Of course life is not all about buying stuff. If you feel so strongly about it, maybe make a new thread instead of trying to hijack current ones with your virtue signalling?
You need to settle down. You started this thread but you do not own it. Threads are open for all forum members to post in. No forum rules have been broken here but you're getting close.

EDIT: You didn't start this thread. However, the recommendation to settle down still stands.

Laptop(s)...purchased them this AM on BF sale at Lenovo. I'm good for bike stuff, but I'm watching the guitar gear closely to see if I can pick up a couple of items (that I do not truthfully need).

I haven't seen anything spectacular yet. I don't think I'm going to hold my breath for deals on road biking gear when the sport seems to be in a bit of a decline.

Is the sport in decline in BC?
I don't believe that is the case in our neck of the woods...road, mtb, gravel, fat & E.
Sales on garmin gear on garmin.com, Dick's Sporting Goods...seems many establishments have a desire to reduce their '19 inventory before the end of the year and before purchasing '20 equipment before spring.

Cycling News just posted a link to JensenUSA for Giro Empire lace-up shoes: https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/get...der-dollar100/
I saw it 15 minutes after it was published and got myself a pair. Wanted lace-ups so I could feel good riding the Peugeot PX-10! We won't discuss the Steel Blue color, WILL WE?
FYI - you have to use the link, you can't find them just by going to the Jensen website...

Ok! Just did it. I'll need to change my bike computer to measure in mach numbers, but I think it'll be worth it.

Nothing more frustrating than getting a notification of a "spectacular" sale just to click on the link the instant it pops up to find all the items are SOLD OUT. 😠

When Black Friday comes
I stand down by the door
And catch the grey men when they
Dive from the fourteenth floor

....I'm gonna look for Steely Dan's "Katy Lied" (on vinyl of course).

Well, I was planning to buy some E-gel packets on line since the LBS stopped carrying them, but I was inexplicably attracted to a good deal on some JBL blutooth earbuds instead.

I'm a bit picky about sound, so my wife's first comment was "so I'll be getting another pair of earbuds, huh?" .

The gels can wait.....Or not.
