Back riding again

I'm glad to be riding again. I got my 2004 Cannondale T 2000. When I first bought my bike I was 285 pounds 6 ft 1 tall or a little more. Now I'm 205 pounds at 6 ft 2. My dog bit my seat so I'm waiting to get that fixed and lube my bike up. My bike still rides good.

You guys think I'll have a better bike riding experience being 205 pounds instead of 285 when I first got it?

Even better than my 245 to 174 transformation! You bet you'll enjoy life on a bike without carrying the equivalent of a kid with you :tandem:

80 pounds - wow! Should make it easier to climb up a hill.

Hope your seat doesn't hurt too much from your dog biting it........................

Having experienced bike riding at both ends of an even bigger weight loss, hell yes! And although losing the payload is a big part of why, it isn't the only reason it's easier. I found it a lot less awkward to pedal and maneuver and the engine endurance is just hugely better.

Now, about that dog....

Wait, what--you got TALLER?!

I need to know how you did that--I'm about three inches undertall for my weight ...

And, I'm about 3" shorter than I was playing football in college. Some of that was thanks to crashing my bike, breaking my neck and having C1 & C2 fused. So, yes, how do you get taller?

What a great story; I was almost 400 lbs when i retired six years ago, when I got down to 300 I began riding again and now at 210 on a six feet frame. Feel absolutely great!!! Bicycle riding truly is a Godsend to those of us who lost our way!!!
