By the way, I am not aware of any health problems partly because I avoid Doctors.
But I exercise very consistently and intensely.

On the one hand, going with a group would probably be the best, since you'll have help if something happens, and I'm sure small things inevitably will on a trip that long. On the other hand, will 100-150 miles a day give you enough time to see stuff on your way around the country? Good luck.
