Anybody riding the Peach Pedal (Weatherford, TX) this year?

Anybody riding the Peach Pedal this year? It's my hometown so I'm registered for the 40 mile - I was going to ride the 100k but haven't had a chance to make any long (40+ miles) rides this year to make sure I'm in shape for it. I may ride the 100k anyway, it's the same price and what are they going to do, take away my birthday?

Anyway, if you're going to be there and you'd like to meet and slap hands let me know. I'm not really looking for a riding partner unless you're also riding in the "fat, cardio-challenged, old fart on a hybrid" paceline.

John

I am registered for the 40 mile as well. I am riding with some friends...some of the friends are "elite", and I will get made fun of, but I just want to pedal for the fun of it, and finish. No record times will be set by by me...I just want to finish. Shelia

Well, if you pass a fat dude on a Trek 7300 with a yellow toolbox bolted on the rear rack, say, "Hi John"

I plan on going. I have never ridin an event ride and would like to try one that is somewhat local if you can call Frisco to Weatherford local. I am going for the century which is more like 88 k according to the peachpedal website.

Are there any major hills to speak of???
