Front Wheel - like going over rough ground

Hi,

Sorry still a newbie.I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what might be wrong with my bicycle. The front wheel feels like it is going over rough ground, not severely but enough to be obvious enough when wheeling it by hand and only slightly here and there when riding it.
I have spun the wheel to have a look to see if there is a goose egg on the tire but what i found was that there is a flat spot on the rim, again it isnt severe, and the tire is also slightly not as round as a new one and there is perhaps a slight bump or higher spot on the tire which can be seen when the wheel is spun.I think the flat spot on the rim was caused by low tire pressure (in the low 20's psi) and me going directly from the curb onto the road, that is dropping down those inches onto the road could have caused that or perhaps riding it with low tire pressue (low 20's psi) BUT would that flat spot cause of the problem? How much of a goose egg would be needed to cause this problem?
Will put up a video of the wheel spinning if anyone thinks this will help.
There is no goose egg on the tire that i can see that is obviously big enough to call it that.
I only ride on the road,no jumps etc ...

Hope i can get some ideas about what it is.

Thanks for any help.
regards

Could very well be the wheel bearings going bad............ An easy replacement if the hub is still OK.

You seem to be saying that your wheel is the wrong shape. If so, then that is probably the source of the problem. They do roll funny when they're not round.

hi there thanks for the reply, much appreciated.I think the bearings might be the bigger part of it,having a think about it,as the "rough ground" feeling seems like the wheel is going over roughness every little distance (7 cm?),as in the bumps come quite quickly. But like i was saying i only ride the bike on the footpath and on the road,so i am wondering why the bearings would be going bad as the bike is only about 6 mths old. Were they faulty perhaps or are cheaper bearings likely to wear so quickly?

Easiest and most obvious fix first.

Does the high spot on the tire happen to be adjacent to the valve stem? If it is, deflate your tire, push the valve stem in towards the rim and re-inflate your tire.
