Shimano FH-R050 silent clutch
Hello all
I'm looking to replace the gears on my mountain bike. Looks like the previous owner wore down some of the teeth quite a bit.
It is a Trek (I'm guessing 950) from 1996. It is a Volkswagen Jetta edition. From some Google searches, I've found that it needs a 7-speed cassette and not a 7-speed freewheel. Can anyone please confirm? Also, would it have to be specifically a Shimano cassette?
The rear wheel hub says Shimano FH-R050 silent clutch.
