Do padded shorts have a break in period?

Shorts break in a little, but not very much. I find shorts to work better if I use chamois cream. I used to wear Assos shorts which still used genuine chamois leather, and though they were not as thick as the pads used in more modern shorts, they were much more comfortable (as well as being cheaper).

Meet me at spin class!!!!
I don't know your gender but have you tried ladies shorts over men? The padding is less.

in general, I have found some "relaxation" to the initial flat shape as I ride. my big objective since the weather has taken an upswing in temps is the soggy bottom boy feeling at mid-ride. by the end, they're like a full sponge. yetch.
I don't have any genders, but at the end of the ride, guys in the locker room have taken to calling me "turtle".
