Personally I got the bike I was drooling about. In hindsight I maybe should have spent more time looking for King Turquoise but eh White Ind are nice; this has me not caring about other bikes for the moment.

In my case it is a trike. It would be the Azub TiFly 26. It has titanium spring front suspension, and suspension in the rear. At the present time anyway to my mind it is the Cadillac of trikes. Any really generous person want to buy one for me??

My childhood friend had a red Apple Krate. I drooled over it. I got to ride it between 1968-70. It was the time my friends’ older brothers were buying Cudas, Roadrunners, Dusters, Chargers, GTOs. They had stick shifts modified with aftermarket bang shifters. I got to ride in those cars and having a stick shift seemed like it made the car go faster! I still remember the feeling of peddling that Apple Krate and shifting through the gears!

What can I say.... I LOVE the bikes from the '70s!!!
Candy-painted frame with chrome 'socks' front and rear. That means a fully chromed frame, but socks polished. The rest of the frame can be painted over for smoothness with a paint before the finish coat/clearcoat or tinted clearcoat so that the candy color shines!!!!!
Nice detailed frame lugs (lug-lining paint is fine) LUGGED is primary!!!!
Polished components (brakes, crank, stem, seatpost, etc)
Polished rims without gaudy decals.
Stainless butted spokes.
High-flange polished hubs...
Leather saddle (in appropriate color) with matching bar tape.
Brake/shifter housing can be either matching frame color or highlighting decal/lettering, or matching saddle/bar tape...
NON-colored tires (gumwalls or black only, thankyouverymuch) although I did break from that 'rule' for the graywalls on my steel gray Miyata 710.... Subtle, and NOT attention-grabbing!
Beyond that, not much...
My primary road-ridden bikes will always have SunTour barcons because that's what I've ridden for 45 years. I HATE reaching anywhere off the bars to shift, and I never ride on the hoods.
Pedals? Toeclips/straps or platforms. No 'clipping in' for me because I want to wear any shoes/sandals/flip-flops/boots!!!

For me, it would be a ti lugged carbon Firefly with Rolf Prima wheelset, no paint on frame, pink accent color, all pink to be Cerakote to match pink accents on hubs.
