Where to source this mirror
 

Does anyone know where to get this mirror. My sister likes the wide angle as she feels it could help with a rider who has trouble turning head to look rear ward. Think it was made in Taiwan but not sure.

Probably Sunlite sells them. Ask you local JBI dealer and they can order one for you. If that bikes is of someone you know I wouldn't worry so much about the mirror and get the brake cables and housing replaced and probably get the bike looked at by a professional. The mirror is the least of my concerns if I cannot use the front brake.

Thanks my sister ordered the mirror; thanks for the link! The pictures were from a bike that did not belong to my sister she saw that mirror and liked it so the bike itself is not hers.

I don't feel safe riding without a mirror. However, I use a helmet mirror. I tried a fixed mirror on the bars but it drove me crazy trying to see anything because the bars were constantly in motion.
If you are concerned with seeing behind you, I think you should be looking at a helmet mirror.

And your head is not in motion? We are opposite, I tried a glasses mounted mirror and found myself kept moving my head around to see the correct spot behind me. I also looked at it too much since it was in my field of vision.

Only my drop bar bike has a mirror on it and it is at the bottom of the bars. I prefer this mirror position.

Yes, that is the case, I have trouble turning my head to look behind me so I keep my head in one position most of the time. I thought that was your original premise. A helmet mirror works well for me but it does take careful positioning and practice to focus on the mirror quickly when I want to, check my six and get back to watching the road ahead while then ignoring the mirror that is in my field of vision. Anyway, it is a personal thing. Whatever keeps you safe on the road.
