The pads, rotors, calipers, and hardware. The system is responsible for... well, braking. However, as with any other component within your vehicle, each aspect of the braking system serves a different purpose.

The primary purpose of 2-piece rotors is to reduce unsprung and overall vehicle weight. This is accomplished by using two-piece disc construction. ... The secondary purpose is to increase the ventilation and cooling capacity of the brake disc. Better airflow means better cooling and less fade.

I've only ridden a handful of bikes with disc brakes. Every one braked better and smoother than my rim braked bikes.

Sure would I rather have a Firefly, Moots, Seven, No.22, Ren, IF, Black Sheep, Engin...or other U.S. made Ti sure without a doubt but my Habanero is a solid bike and was a perfect bike for this build. (saddle was adjusted in post just threw it on to finish up the bike and get it back home didn't realize until we were chatting about it at the shop that it wasn't level) Cheap poorly welded titanium is always bad but this hasn't been the case here.

what prompted you to cut and paste a piece from an auto brake page here?
it’s extremely odd.
