I'd take the billion and just keep riding. Use a little of it to hire lawyers to tie up whoever/whatever the money came from in court so they can't stop me. Ain't that what billionaires do?

You tube the documentary on lottery winners , most wished they never one . Ruined families, jealousy, drugs,, lost friendships etc..
A BILLION dollars would out a lot of stress on your family and friendships..

Yes, for one billion US dollars I would drop cycling like a bad habit. I was a competitive runner in college and still run some. I would probably just do more of that. Plus I wouldn't be working anymore so I would have more time to go backpacking, travel, and other things that would keep me busy.

I wouldn't tell my wife if the offer came down the pike, but I don't think I would.
Addendum:I mean cycling. Pedaling and propelling oneself. Without pedaling, you don't go. Ebikes and stationary would also fall in the category. No creative loopholes. You can do any other activities with your 10 digits.

Yes. With a billion dollars, I can afford multiple homes. One would be where I can step out my door to do downhill and cross-country skiing. The other would be good warm weather hiking. Another would be waterfront with a sailboat out my back door. I LOVE biking, especially satisfying when it saves money on parking and I can do everything local with it, even food shopping with my townie and panniers. But I would make the trade in a heartbeat.
