I have Shimano XC Pros but they are meant for a wider foot than I have. Next time I am probably going to try/buy online, the LBS doesn't have enough models in my size.

Fizik Powerstrap X4 gravel shoes. These were my road shoes when I was running SPD on the road, very comfortable and walkable, and look pretty much like road shoes. I'm using the R5 Powerstraps now with SPD-SLs, still just as comfortable.

Fizik X3 for road, gravel and singletrack. Light, pretty stiff, nice looking I think. How walkable? Like the Shimano and I imagine other XC shoes the sole is good for short walks, but its just not rugged enough for extended or repeated hikes on rough ground - it'll work but it wont last. Also, and I've heard this elsewhere the mid sole between cleat and heel is super slippery should you miss your clip in. I have stuck a piece of rubber there to save me

These replaced my 10-year old Specialized 'touring' shoes -- essentially a road-shoe look alike with a walkable SPD sole. Can't remember the model name/number. Favourite shoes ever; would have got another pair, but Specialized doesn't seem to make anything like this any longer.

I have a set of Pearl Izumi that resemble running/walking shoes with a stiff sole, and set of older Bike Nashbar leather MTB shoes with a stiff sole.
I have SPD pedals on both my road bike and my Gravel Bike, they are pretty much all I use. I was using Look cleats on the road bike, but frankly I'm not racing anymore, and while the Look delta style absolutely transmits a bit more power, the SPD cleats allow me to walk around without looking like duck.

I've ordered the new Adidas Velosamaba on a whim when they first came out. Been riding with them for about a month now and really liking them. Super comfortable and even wore them at work all day.

Forever Fred: Pearl Izumi X Alp Seek V in size 44... mountain shoes used with Speedplay Frog pedals and cleats on a Trek Domane S5 and Trek 1.1. Purchased in 2013. Still going strong today. Bike shoes seem to last forever.

I use Shimano shoes that are listed as wide. They are barely wide enough even going up half a size.
I find it amazing the some cycling shoe Co can make shoes that are WIDE enough. I talking E EE AND EEE wide. Scrunching your foot into a narrow shoe causes pain and hot foot.
