I've not been to these yet, as I'm on the other side of town, but Cleveland's west side/Lakewood has Joy Machines, Blazing Saddle Cycle, and Beat Cycles. (I usually shop at Blimp City Bike & Hike in Akron).

I'm surprised it's not been mentioned yet, but I'd like to visit Syracuse and stop by Mello Velo.

Lance Armstrong's shop, Mellow Johnny's, is a play on Maillot Jaune ("Yellow Jersey" in French). The attached coffee shop is called Juan Pelota, which is Spanglish slang meaning "One Ball," in reference to Armstrong's single testicle.

"Cyclepath" was a local bike shop at one time. A current one is "The Bike Peddler".

I like "Machinery Row Bicycles" in Madison, WI. I'll assume the name comes from past businesses in the wonderful old building it is on the end of. Since lakefront property is common in Madison, the parking lot behind is on the shore of Lake Monona, with a tour boat dock right there. It's on a MUP and has a feature that I've not seen elsewhere: a bike supplies vending machine, which wasn't well stocked last time I looked. The old building looks like it is well made and will be around for a ling time.

Buffalo Bill's Bike Basement. Their slogan is "Wheels in Lotion."

In all seriousness, you will soon be able to rent the house that was used in the film. (The basement scenes were actually filmed elsewhere.) I rode by it last year.

Stedman's Bike Shop (Wakefield, RI)

I suppose it's because it was local to me when I was growing up, but that name has always just said "bikes" to me. They sold Schwinn back in the day, now it's mostly Specialized bikes. A shame, since between then and now they used to sell a wider variety (they sold a bunch of Bianchis in the '90s to ... '00s, maybe?).

I got my graduation present (Fuji DelRey, with Valight tubing) from them in the mid '80s.
