BoB, Cycletote and Aevon trailers are gone. What other bicycle related gear has anybody noticed no longer available for purchase.

What "restrictions" are you talking about? CycleTote is closing because Susan chose to retire. As of last week, Aevon only says that the KIT L80 is unavailable, but the STD 100 still is. BoB was acquired by Britax in 2011 and has since moved into the stroller business.

The BOB trailers were still available for purchase with in the last couple of years. They were also into strollers for many years. Aevon sends you to another site for purchase and there is no working cart to purchase. Cycletote was still selling there trailers in early 2019 and I am aware that Susan is getting older. I just looked at the Cycletote website and there is a comming soon message.

Meaning of restrictions: Wear a mask or else, forced closings of businesses or else.

Oh, you're one of those people.

A quick google search shows that BOB trailers is still in business - you can buy them directly from their site, in fact. Ditto Aevon. And it sounds like the proprietress of Cycletote probably retired. But I guess those facts don't support your alternate reality view of the world.

You can't buy them from there site. The two sellers they list: Amazon and Walmart list them as unavailable. I called Bob and was told they no longer make the bob trailers. Your assumption is incorrect. Ditto Aevon is another one of your assumptions. Every link that I find to purchase there trailer is a dead end. I tried your link and another dead end I got. I do believe that restrictions did cause the closings of many businesses and am interested in other businesses that were effected that may involve bicycle products and accessories.

So you are assuming reasons those two companies stopped making trailers had something to do with governmental Covid restrictions? Any evidence of this?

Ah. So you don't actually know that any of these businesses closed or that their products are no longer manufactured "due to the restrictions."

Cool thread, bro.

By "restrictions" did you mean sales not meeting expenses?

You do realize that there's been world-wide interruptions in supply chains affecting all sorts of manufactured goods, right? And that none of these have anything to do with whether you had to put on a mask in the 7-11.

You know what bicycle products are really hard to find right now? Bicycles.

Just because the sales link is dead right now doesn't mean the company is dead or the product won't be back later.

Rather than move this pointless thread to P&R, we are just going to close it.
