Anyone happen to know who posted this bin of saddles on San Francisco CL?

Someone posted this bin of saddles to SF bike parts Craigslist, and I'd like to buy at least one of them (the WTB Speed), but I'm not getting a response to my emails, and I wonder if the poster is accidentally blocking emails proxied through Craigslist. Anyone here post these, or happen to know who did? Or is in the SF area and has a WTB Speed saddle they'd like to sell? https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/bop...333424047.html

The ad is 21 days old. It is likely sold and the seller just never deleted the ad. He is not responding since he is still getting bombarded with emails. The ad will eventually expire.

This happens all the time.

I don't think so, since it just got refreshed yesterday - if it was sold, the poster wouldn't have refreshed it.

You're right. As to how I miss that I don't know. I'm blaming the heat.

$40?? Will you take 10? Oh, you will take 10! Will you take 5? Yeah, you will take five? How about free? No? Ok, 5 then... Nah, not interested.

When you emailed, did you say specifically you were interested in one of the saddles? If so, and he wants to sell the whole bin, then he may be ignoring you on purpose. If you didn't say anything at all about saddles, then he probably thinks you're just another scammer-bot like the dozens of other emails that don't mention the item for sale.

I know if I post an ad, and someone emails me with a question that is already clearly answered in the ad, I won't respond. For instance, "If this ad is still up, the bike is still available". And they email me asking if it's available. Not for you it's not.

Yes, I asked if they're willing to sell one specific saddle, or let me look through the bin. Possible the seller is just ignoring me, but I would have expected at least a reply of "no, I'm only interested in selling the entire bin."

Send another email, different chain or email address. Offer to buy the whole thing. The $40 price is about the cost of a WTB speed anyway.

Weird follow-up - the seller texted me, says he's donating the bin to the local bike co-op, but he'll sell me the one I want... except now he can't find it in the bin even though it's in the photo.

And now the ad has been deleted. Darn, I didn't get a chance to check it out!
