If it is Festivus, it must be aluminum.

Most importantly; Which is best to use on xmas, chain wax or a chain lubricating oil? Should it have been applied on xmas eve or the morning of xmas?

AFAF...

SpedFast 12-25-21 12:19 PM

Chain Wax! And you do it on Christmas day while watching football or it doesn't work. Merry Christmas to all!

gringomojado 12-25-21 12:52 PM

Only your spouse or mate can answer that one, haha

How long do wrapping paper spacers last?

Ghazmh 12-25-21 07:17 PM

Dashing through the snow on a one by carbon frame……..

o’er a bump I go, asploding all the way. Why did I make that choice just to make my riding light? How much fun I could have had on vintage steel tonight.

Freds’ bells on bike trails ring. I buzz them out of spite. And when I tell you “On you’re left!” move over to the right.

*mic drop*

Have a Kwazy Kwanzaa, a Hell yeah on Hogmanay and a Sweet national Chocolate Candy Day. Mine are Unreal Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups because they have just the right amount of sweetness )the old Reeses' in addition to unneeded milk they are just so freakin' sweet I want a little darkness to give me some balance).

I would say celebrate National Fruitcake day but in the end most of those are a joke anyway and nobody really takes it seriously plus it does tend to have more non-secular holiday connotations. Homemade stuff can be tasty if done right but I would rather just do a banana bread or better yet some brownies, brownies are good.

we tried mince pie for the 1st time, this year. not a fan favorite. I did not score points for buying it. vanilla ice cream helped it go down

Pratt 12-28-21 12:43 PM

Vegan-
I made bourbon balls recently. They came out pretty good, about 1mL of hooch per ball, vegetarian, not vegan, the vanilla wafers are made with eggs.

I am still waiting to meat someone who actually likes mincemeat pie. Same with fruitcake. Both are nasty.

Oh dear ... I'm going to have to confess to being a fan of both -- if done right -- and sundry other Brit stuff that many love to hate.

I blame my maternal grandparents, with whom I spent a good part of my childhood. Transplanted Brits to the core, they imparted many of their tastes to me I'm afraid.

Sad, but there it is.

mince pie, basically tastes like raisin pie. it wasn't too bad. it would have been better if it was thinner & had a better crust

They sound like they could be easily veganizable and delicious. Any whisky based dessert ball should be pretty tasty. I might have to make some boozy balls for the new year, we are doing a hike and then an outdoor brunch but some alkyhol might just warm everyone up.

:thumb: my Dad would always make a small fire on wintery hikes. he often snuck some nips in the case with the hot cocoa & tea. he recently gave up his backpack to me. he won't be hiking anymore due to his advanced age :50:. guess what I found? a little fire starting kit almost identical to the one I carry myself. well, it made me glad. have a nice wintery hike!

I'll confess that I liked steak and kidney pie when I had it for lunch in a London pup back in '85.
